Case Study: SEO
We’re currently updating a website for a company of roofers in Maidenhead and trying to restore the site to the top of “the local pack” after dropping from the search rankings under a previous digital marketing agency in Surrey. Built in Duda, they overwrote all the image ALT attributes with AI-generated text, and lost both the XML Sitemap and the Robots.txt file, both essential for indexing and ranking in the SERPs.
Lightwater Marketing is working with Duda for now but looking to convert the website to WordPress in the near future as it’s a far superior CMS. The XML sitemap is now restored, as is the Robots.txt file. The website has been revised and resubmitted to Google Search Console (GSC).
As you can see from the GSC performance data, we’ve vastly improved the website’s visibility in Google Search, and clicks are now starting to increase too.
